I see many people trying different diets…Paleo, Keto, Atkins, Plant-based, Vegan, etc. Why doesn’t everyone succeed on these diets? Why does one woman’s labs get worse and she gains weight on keto, when her co-worker can lose 50 pounds and feel great on keto? Hint: It isn’t because she’s doing it wrong.
The secret is that everyone’s genes are different and there is actually a gene coded for HOW you need to be eating. This gene is called ApoE. It can actually tell us if you have an Alzheimer’s gene, if you are at risk for cardiovascular disease or Type 2 diabetes, and can tell how you need to be eating.
This is why not everyone can do the same diet. I get asked on a weekly basis how people should be eating and I can’t give one single answer. You need to get tested to see how to eat and what is right for you. Disease processes can be stopped, prevented, or reversed when you are eating how you should be and it’s not a one-sized fits all approach.
Schedule a call to get your ApoE tested today and you’ll be one step closer to getting your life back.
